PONDS Evening Soothe Wet Cleansing Towelette's Chamomile and White Tea Review!

WOW what a title. That was a very long title. Well if you haven't guessed, I'm doing a review on the PONDS chamomile and White Tea cleansing wipes.

I actually picked these up at Ross. You can get these almost anywhere, Walmart, Target, Walgreens, and any supermarket really~~ I got them for $3 Which is a GOOD deal for 30 wipes! These wipes claim to lift all makeup off your face, as well as soothe your senses and calm you with the scent.

PACKAGING~

I'm gonna be honest, this packaging kinda sucks :l
ONLY saying this because it's like a freaking sticker and it makes it super easy to dry out the wipes~~!!  And normally if the sticky part was good, I wouldn't mind but it was already not sticky by the time I took out the first wipe~~

I got the purple kind which is Chamomile and White Tea. I tried the original blue one before, but they smelled slightly harsh and like Windex (???) But the smell on these are lovely, they smell clean and almost like a flowery smell. It leaves my face smelling like a flowery body wash. I know they have many types and I hope next time I can try the Luminous ones.

No ingredients on the back...kinda fishy but it's okay because I can always look online. And of course the typical corny description on the back.

Demo/Full Review!~

Okay so i'm gonna compare it to a baby wipe. You can see it's very textured compared to the baby wipe. It looks and feels like cloth and it has surprisingly deep ridges that really help get the makeup off your face. When I open the package it is a light sweet smell that also smells clean and fresh. you can see tiny bubbles like little suds on it too.

On the top is the moisture I squeezed out of the baby wipe. Of course I know it's not a makeup wipe, I just needed something to compare it to. The moisture from the baby wipe is just plain water, and as you can see, on the bottom is the moisture from the makeup towelette. It has a lot of moisture! As well as it has some nice cleaning foam inside!!

NOW TIME TO TEST IT!

Okay so for this experiment, I will take both wipes and do one on one side, and on the other. Both sides  doing two strokes down my face. No scrubbing or extra wiping.
So here I started out with a full face of makeup! Concealer, Foundation, Eyeliner, Brow pencil, Mascara, and Highlighter.

Let's start with the baby wipe on the left side of my face.

Two swipes later, and this is what came off. Hehe~ it's so cute that it like has an imprint of my face!! Looks like it took off all of it right??

BUUUTTT it didn't. Still some foundation left, and eyeliner too. Also practically none of my mascara came off~

Time for the POND'S wipe!! swipe swipe~

It feels so nice and cooling on your face. It also smells lovely, and despite the texture of the wipe, it isn't rough on your skin at all!

Oh wow! looks like nothing even came off... How strange that it looks like this when...

It looks like it took almost all of it off!! (still don't really get how it does that but wow right!!)

Here's a full comparison~~ Right side: Baby wipe
 Left side: POND's wipe.

You can see that the side with the POND'S wipe has no eyeliner left, and it took off a little more foundation than the other side. I find that the POND'S wipe really helps take off a lot of the makeup before cleansing. I know many of you girls will probably just use a makeup wipe to take off your makeup and then fall asleep, and I am here to tell you DO NOT DO THAT!!! WASH YOUR FACE TOO!~~

Now my face is squeaky clean and theres no mascaras or any eyeliner left!! These work amazingly well and don't break me out! They do very well keeping my face clean when washing doesn't do it, or when I just don't have time.

Overall~

PROS: Good at cleaning, nice smell, AMAZING price, takes off even waterproof mascara, moist.
CONS: Bad packaging....that's it :D

RATING~

9/10

These wipes are affordable, and work very well. The material is sturdy and soft at the same time. The scent is clean and refreshing, will calm your senses like it says! It really can take off even the most stubborn makeup and doesn't break you out~!

Please try these out if you see them~!
Let me know if I forgot anything as well~~Thanks so much!!

My FAVORITE nail arts so far!

So nail art is technically my passion. Behind becoming a famous entertainer of course!! But in the future I would like to open a super cute all-pink SUPER FRIGGIN CUTE ASS NAIL SALON WHERE YOU'RE SERVED CUPCAKES AND BOBA WHILE GETTING YOUR NAILS DONE!!!!!!!

ahem..

keke. I just get excited thinking about it!!! I cannot wait it will be so cute and I will have the cutest nail arts in the world!!! SOOOO since nail art is honestly a HUGE part of my life, I thought I can show you my favorite nail arts so far!! This wont be a super long post ^^ Just pictures of my arts and maybe a small descriptions ~~

But before I show you them I will give you a small tour of my nail arts collection~~!!

POLISH!!

Well I did have about 200 polishes...but I threw many of them out and only kept about 70 to move down here to Texas...It broke my heart but it's okay because I will have many when I open my salon! Yeah I have pretty much all cheap brands, but they work for me, and let's face it, I don't have much money to begin with. A few of these aren't even the color they came as, I like to mix a few of my polishes as soon as they get about half way~~ I love pink polishes, and it's pretty obvious I love glitter~~

DECO!!

Okay so these are the rhinestones/tape/confetti/foils/bows/ etc etc etc that I have at the moment~~ Obviously I have way more striping tape than I need. I also have multiple wheels of the same rhinestones shown, but I only put one of each so I can show you :D I have regular white ones, pearls, little microbeads, assorted ones, and black ones^^ Also at the bottom those are little paillettes as well as caviar beads and stuff in those tiny bottles. I got those last Christmas from my friend Maddi~ I also have nail foils in Black , Gold, and Silver which I have yet to try out, since I can't find any glue anywhereee~~ I have one brand of nail stickers that I got from my boyfriends sister, I have tiny bows, dotting tools, some confetti I got at walmart for like 10 cents, and a little ripoff Konad nail stamp thingy~~ I also have many orange-wood sticks and files and cuticle removers, buffers yadda yadda but I didn't feel necessary to show you keke~~

I guess it's a small collection, compared to some of the stuff I see on youtube! They make me so jealous~~

NOW ONTO THE NAIL ART~!

I will now list some of my favorite nail arts in order from oldest to newest! This way you can see improvement! I will list a small description as well~~

Okay so this first one^ was when I didn't have many colors or rhinestones and I was NOT too creative haha. Although I think it's cute, I could have executed it better ne?

This one I feel could have been cuter with white/baby pink tips. I remember going to school and getting everything from- omg thats so cute! to- wtf why do u have a bow on ur nail weirdo. I have lost that cute little bow wah I could have re used ne.

Just some gradient glitter. I have about five million color variations on this style, but this was my favorite and I don't wanna bore you with repeated styles.

Good god what a horrible mistake it was to cut my nails square. I regretted it so much omg make my hand look fat and..on second thought I already have fat hands I just think the almond shape make my hand look skinnier~

These were actually iron-on rhinestones my mom found for me from the store. This nail art only lasted like two days because I did not have any nail glue or even any clue as to how to stick them on, but i'm better now! Btw u can't tell but the tips are baby pink :D

I was going for a more edgy look I suppose iono, but I used scotch tape. I was gonna do a design but I got lazy ke.

Ah these were soooo cute I loved them I got so many compliments. Although my index finger had broken I wore these out as long as I could haha. They were kinda hard to do and I had to waste one of my cosmetic sponges on them but it was okay because I discovered at dollar tree they have like 100 for 1$~~~~~!!! Also I ran out of that color -sob-

These were also a favorite of mine! I love silver glitter so much and white too~ a wintry feel ne? This one lasted longer than I thought it would and soooo many people wanted me to do their nails when they saw these keke~

These were a piece of shitty mcshit to do omg the cloth wouldn't stick on and I had polish all over like I had just murdered someone and they just looked so cute but they were such a pain in the ass to do.

These were probably my #2 favorite that I have ever done~ I love micro beads because I love studs ask anybody I love studded things~ But the beads are hard to do since they friggin roll everywhere and also you need like a whole bottle of topcoat to make them stay~

I wore these for graduation~ I absolutely love nude looks and my dress was already flashy so I wanted a softer nail art. These were my #1 favorite look :D Too bad my nails were short here ~

I just took these off the other day~ They were suprisingly easy to do, just gotta be patient~~ Plus I had just received my striping tape like 2 weeks ago and I reallllyyyy wanted to do something with them! I chose my four favorite polish colors :D (other than pink)

Annndd these are my current nails~ DAMN MY NAILS ARE LONG~ I tried the whole striping tape thing. I was gonna paint clouds but this is cuter :D I wanted a summery look ^^

And so theres my favorite nail arts~ I know many of them don't involve rhinestones, but those are just too precious to me and I only like using them on special occasions since I really hate not being able to re-use them~~

If you have any comments on my arts or maybe want a tutorial on one or even have a request for me to do let me know! I love nail art and I love doing it so it would be super fun for me~~

Thank you for reading my short post~

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation Review

Today I will do a review on the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation

This foundation is very popular among many women and has many good reviews as well as many bad reviews. This post will just be MY personal opinion on the foundation and what my experience has been with it. I purchased this foundation at Sephora for a whopping 42$ which is big for me, since I like drugstore foundations such as Revlon Colorstay or my Garnier BB Cream. Which both retail at around 12$. I've had this product a little over a month, and I waited so long to review this so I could fully get an impression of it. I have this in the color "Syracuse".

When I first went to Sephora they gave me the Too Faced air buffed BB Creme. Which was great...for the first ten minutes. After I buffed it into my skin it began to BURN so badly. I think I am allergic or something to it. So I went back to find something else and then they gave me the Sephora brand liquid foundation. That also didn't work for me too well and it oxidized into a terrible shade WAY too dark for my skin. So of course I went back AGAIN, and I guess I more or less "settled" for this foundation. This isn't the best I've used, and it also isn't the worst i've used. And now I will tell you why~

The Packaging~

When you first look at the packaging it looks nice, a glass bottle with a matte lid. The box is simple and nicely made, good marketing on the designer's part. NARS is written in big letters on both the box and the bottle.

So pretty~

A closeup of the bottle itself~

As well as some very questionable ingredients...

Now I really REALLY DESPISE foundation without a pump most of the time. The only exception I have is Revlon Colorstay because the lid is also round and easier to put back on without smudging it all over. As you can see the lid on this foundation has like and outer lid or whatever that kinda makes me blind when I put it back on and I smudge some all over the bottom of the lid. Also I am dissapointed because the lady at the store showed me it with a pump on so I got excited and she forgot to mention you have to buy the pump separately for like 10$.

Also when you pour out the product, it can get clogged or something, because the foundation comes straight to the top because of a bubble, deceiving you making you think its full but as soon as the little bubble below the opening pops, you've got 42$ foundation all over your hand that you must use or waste.

The Coverage/Demo~

This foundation has medium coverage. Of course you can build it up to full, but that might make the "sheer" look go away a bit. If you have good skin for the most part, with only slight discoloration and redness, this foundation might work best by itself. I have a lot of acne scars as well as discoloration around my mouth and chin, that makes me look like I have a 4 o'clock shadow, so I use a concealer underneath this. I also would like to note I have combination skin. On my T-zone and upper cheeks I am very oily, and on my cheeks and neck I am very dry and ashy. More on how this foundation works for that later on~

For this review I will  be doing half my face with a light application.

I started off with a completely bare face, only SPF and moisturizer in this photo.

As you can see I have MANY dark spots from past acne that are very very slowly fading away. My acne is gone for the most part, but my complexion is far from perfect. Most days I will use my MAC Studio Finish Concealer to cover all the little imperfections. For this I will JUST do the foundation so I can show you how it is by itself.

I use a cosmetic sponge for this foundation, or a stippling brush when I need more coverage.

Now I wet it and ring it out!

This foundation is a very yellow-based foundation, which is good for me since I am asian and I have a very golden undertone.

Enlarged to show detail!!
keke

So I put some on the back of my hand, and you can see it is very creamy and a yellow-ish color. It looks way too light on my hand but I promise you, it is not. I got super tan on my body when I moved to Texas so that is why my face and neck is lighter.

Next I apply the foundation on my face in swipes, and then dab it in to seal it onto my skin.

When I apply this foundation it goes on very smoothly. The smell isn't overbearing, although it does have a smell. It does go on smoothly as well as it does have a nice healthy glow when first applied.

Here is the results~~

Even with my bad cell phone camera you can see it makes quite a nice difference, even with the small amount I applied. Although it doesn't completely cover my dark spots or circles under my eyes, it applies nicely and looks like my own skin! It even has a soft, dewy look so that it looks like REAL skin instead of foundation. It has a beautiful finish and looks natural and glowing.
.
.
.
.
.
Until an hour later. FOR ME this foundation becomes kinda crappy (if you have oily skin like me) after a few hours. I find myself CONSTANTLY blotting my nose and forehead or putting powder. It breaks up around the most oily places and also can become very fake looking. I also noticed that it oxidizes!!! So bad!!! It becomes too dark for my face and it like, idk soaks up my concealer or something because halfway through the day you can see my spots again. Personally I do not like it for long time wear. If you are just going somewhere casual like school or out for errands, than yes it can be great. But if using for something long or something where you will be out in the heat for, I don't recommend it.

Overall~

PROS: This foundation can be built up, gives a nice natural skin look, good for photos, nice easy texture that is very forgiving to work with, best with dryer skin types.

CONS: Expensive as shiiiitttt!! Can be too yellow for caucasian skin types, oxidizes to a darker shade, not good for oily/combo skin.

RATING:  6/10

I suppose the pros outweigh the cons, which explains why I kept it. Plus I haven't been wearing foundation for as long during the day as I use to, so for me it stays good when I run errands or things like that. I like to mix it with my SPF because that has that white-ish cast that sunblocks leave and it lightens up the foundation a bit so when it oxidizes it will go to a tone that matches my neck. I still do love the way it looks after applied and it lasts an hour or two without becoming quite shiny and unmanageable. It didn't break me out or anything like that, and I can use this for special occasions and stick to my BB cream or Colorstay for regular use.

Well thank you for reading my review! Any questions about the product or if I forgot to add something please comment or email me! Thank you~

I would like to post about my ethnicity.

I always get stupid people asking me~ are you chinese or asian?! like are you f**kin stupid theres more than one type of asian out there??????!!!!!

let me clarify that I am half KOREAN and half PUERTO RICAN That is why I am so tan okay? I am asian and hispanic!

Honestly though, why do people here feel the need to fricken ask me in the first place ne?? Like it damn matters. Why do people care what I am anyways??

I guess it can be flattering that I am oh-so-mysterious and exotic to them but still it is irritating being mixed because people ask me ALL the time and honestly i'm tired of explaining.

Also it's like as soon as you tell someone you are even remotely asian they come up with some stupid name like chopsticks or sushi to call you for the rest of their miserable little lives. REAL original I tell ya.

screw you is not funny ok.

I mean sometimes I come across people and i'm like wtf even are you because you look like no specific race, and sometimes they are super gorgeous and yes (OMG SHOCKER SO CONTROVERSIAL DONT READ ON!) sometimes they are ugly af.

Also let me rant a bit about how some white guys have this like obsession over asian women!! I mean for me looking at other asian women's faces vs. mine, I do not look asian whatsoever but it's like some white men can like just tell you are somewhat asian and as soon as they get that sense they're all over you like cocaine on fricking Lindsay Lohan. I mean it seems that the only people that ever try to hit on me are white men and the first thing they say is like this- Hi how are you? I'm (insert some jerkoff name like keith or jake) I DONT MEAN TO BE OFFENSIVE BUT ARE YOU ASIAN??  as if it is offensive to be asian or anything for that matter get off your high horse it is not offensive to be ANY race, or be mistaken as any other race. But c'mon it would be cool if you would ask my damn name first before you fricken say something offensive to me and make me want to leave with my middle finger high~~~

asdfghjkliuytfkdfjg

Anyways now you know what I am so do not ask no more ok bye.

Facial mapping!

SOMETIMES ONE ISN'T ENOUGH RIGHT??

I find myself searching for a mask for my whole face, but the truth is, all parts of your face are way different! Some of us have oily T-zones, and dry flaky skin on their cheeks!! If you are lucky and have perfect skin all over...well actually the only way you can have that is if you're a newborn baby :l I found that using different masks on different parts of your face help it all look nicer in the ways they are lacking!

So let's talk about mapping out your face for a facial :D I like to use different masks at the same time for different areas on my face. Today I will show you how I use the masks I like best and where I put them according to my skin! Note that your skin may be way different than mine, so map out your facial according to your personal needs. I like to do this mask once every two weeks, and a regular mask on the other weeks. Let's get started~~

Today i'm using three facial masks.

One for lightening

This is my Concha Nacar cream. This is a Mexican cream meant for lightening the skin. I like to use this on my forehead and chin, as those parts of my face tend to be more pigmented than the rest of my face.

One for my trouble areas

This is a clear complexion mask meant for getting rid of those pesky zits and waking up your skin! I like to use this on my cheeks, since I  break out there frequently.

And one for closing up large pores!

This is the classic mint-green mask that you see everyone use. This really helps me to close up the large pores on my nose and upper cheeks.

okay!! SO I start off with a fresh face. I like doing this out of the shower because my pores tend to be open and my face feels fresh. You can always do a mask before you shower or really any time of the day, this is just my personal preference.

Next I map my face according to how it is at the moment.

sorry about the potato I took these on, I don't have a good camera yet :l (also don't mind my terrifying no makeup face)

MY FACE MAP!

YELLOW- areas that are hormonally darker, places I want to lighten up to the rest of my face.
BLUE- areas I break out often, places with the most acne scars.
PURPLE- areas where my pores are larger.

I use a clean foundation brush like this, so that the mask goes on evenly and it's easier to get a correct shape where I mapped it out.

Like this~

Next I begin on my pores with the Mint Julep mask since right now it is HOOOTTT in Texas and my pores are super huge and oily!

I want these to be the most treated right now. The Mint Julep mask is very thick and you can feel it tingle on your face, which means it's doing a deep clean!! This mask contains sulfur which can help reduce the size of acne, and rinse away blackheads!

MAKE SURE TO WASH YOUR BRUSH IN BETWEEN MASKS. I think it is important if you want to keep your masks separated and also maintain a nice soft brush!

Next I do the Concha Nacar brightening mask on my forehead and chin.

This is second most important to me, and not first because I currently am using two other brightening products for my face, so it will come second. The Concha Nacar cream is very creamy and has small grains of seashells and oyster powder in it for exfoliation, as well as lemon juice, which we all know is known for lightening the skin! This is definitely the most unique and effective cream I own.

After that I will apply the Boscia mask to my troubled areas.

I will apply this last right now as I haven't been breaking out as much. I think my skin has gotten more used to the weather here so it isn't as crazy as when I first moved here. This mask is thin and watery and smells like fresh flowers! This mask has bamboo extracts to control oil, as well as willow bark to refine pores!

ALL DONE!

Now it's all done, and I usually wait about 30-40 minutes because I like to make sure it gets deep down into my skin. While I am waiting for it to dry I like to browse imgur or even get some dirty dishes done!

I first discovered the face mapping technique while watching a youtube video by BeautyQQ~ She is one of my favorite beauty guru's, and her skin looks absolutely amazing at her age, so whatever she says GOES for me lol. I hope someday to become as knowledgeable and beautiful as her!

I think skin mapping my facials has definitely helped my skin over time, and every time i'm done my face feels brighter and softer!

After my time is up, I wash my face in warm not HOT water. I rub it off gently because I've just treated  my face with so many nice things, I don't want to suddenly irritate it as it may be sensitive!

pat dry with a clean towel, do not RUB your face with the towel. This causes irritation and may cause redness on your face! I always try to do as little things to damage my skin, and patting my face dry keeps my skin smooth. Afterwords I moisturize with my ~H2O+ ultra hydrator.

This moisturizer has not received many good reviews, but I love it, it has helped my face become less oily and it protects my face from all the things in the air that might mess with my freshly cleaned skin! It has marine botanicals that also instantly plump and moisturize my skin, as well as the little beads that contain vitamins that aid against aging!

My face feels super soft and awake! I also notice the pores on my nose and cheeks are much smaller, as well as my face looks glowing and clean! The best feeling ever! Now I can go to sleep and let my face rejuvenate itself after the lovely treatment I gave it!

I hope my post has helped you learn a bit about the facial mapping that I do, and I hope you enjoyed my very looong post keke! If I've forgotten anything let me know :D

bye~bye~
